NOTD - Sparrow Me The Drama

Sparrow Me The Drama is the second nail polish I've tried from the Pirates Of The Caribbean OPI Mini Collection.

As you can see in the picture above, the nail polish is a mauve/pink shade. It would be nice over the summer but I'm not entirely sure if it suits me to well. I think maybe the shade just hasn't grown on me that much yet.

I applied two coats of Sparrow Me The Drama, this nail polish is very glossy and creamy indeed.Out of the collection so far Planks Alot is still my favourite.

How do you girlies like Sparrow Me The Drama??

Weekly Round Up #3

Oh wow this week went so fast, partially as I've been so busy and working lots. I also can't believe June is nearly over which means my favourites post will be coming pretty soon. You'll have to keep an eye out for that.:)

Here is some pictures of what I got up to this week.

I met up with my boyfriend over the week which was really nice. I haven't got to see him in quite a while as I've been busy. We just had a mooch around the shops in town. The weather was also gorgeous out which is a plus seeing as its been so miserable out in Dublin lately.

I also had time to nip into Brown Thomas and pick up this M.A.C lipstick (Syrup) which I am loving at the moment.

Sid, my cute labrador is a year with us this week.My brother named him after Sid Vicious from the Sex Pistols. The name reminds me of the evil kid from the original Toy Story. The last year with him has flown by. He is the funniest dog in the world and is such a big part of our family. By the way he hates the camera for some reason so I was lucky to get this picture.

Friday was such a miserable day. I was walking home from work and it started raining out of nowhere. I had no jacket so by the time I got home I was absolutely drenched. I was so excited to get home and see a package from He-Shi on my doorstep. I can't wait to do a review for you girlies after I try the products out.

On Saturday I went to the Chachatint launch event in Brown Thomas. I had such a good time and you can read all about the event  here. This picture was taken by Kirstie from Beaut.ie. I love it.

What did you girls get up to this week??

Benefit "Chachatint Launch" Event Dublin

Yesterday I attended the Chachatint launch event in Brown Thomas Dublin. I heard about this event instore and I just had to go. Maggie & Annie Ford Danielson (daughters/nieces of  Benefit co-founders Jane and Jean Ford) were in attendence. Last Saturday, I reserved my spot by paying 30€ which was redeemable on all products and meant I could get my makeup done too.

On the day, I was booked in at 12.45pm as perusual I arrived early. I spent some of the time looking at some Benefit products and watching Maggie and Annie's makeup demonstrations which I found interesting.

Finally the time came to get my makeup done, my Benefit makeup artist, Sarah was lovely and helpful. We had such great chats about blogging and of course Benefit products.

When my makeup was done I was so delighted with it, Sarah did such a good job. I loved my eye makeup and I loved the way Chachatint looked on my cheeks:) I got to chat to Maggie and Annie for a few minutes they are so pretty and friendly. I talked to them about some of the products I was purchasing and their time in Dublin of all things. A picture of me and girls was taken by one of the lovely Benefit staff and it was put in a cute frame.

L2R Annie,Me, Maggie
My makeup artist Sarah also took a picture for me with my digital camera. I loved how both pictures turned out.

I also met the lovely Beaut.ie girls Kirstie and Aisling. I was so happy to finally get to meet them as I'm such a big fan of their blog I love it. I was also got to see some of the Irish Beauty bloggers I've met before and a few new ones.

I purchased two products that I really liked that were used to get my makeup look.

Chachatint
I was blown away with Chachatint. It's a very daunting shade in the bottle but such a nice shade on the lips and cheeks as it gives a health looking flush of colour. A little goes a long way with this product as it's very pigmented.

Sunday Funday Palette

Another product I had my eye on is Maggie's Sunday Funday Palette.I fell in love with this as it has such wearable shadows and practically has everything you'd need in a palette. The artwork on this palette is gorgeous and was designed by Nikki Farquharson. In Ireland,Maggie's and Annie's palettes are exclusive to Brown Thomas Dublin and are limited edition so they are only available while stocks last.

I also got a Benefit Goodie Bag which I was so chuffed about as it contained some pretty nice things.

 Triple Performing Facial Emulsion Mini

It's Potent Eye Cream Mini

Benefit's Tweezerman Tweezer

Ultra Shines Lip Shine in What Are You Wearing

I'm so glad I attended this event, I really had such a great time. It was a fab start to what I hope is another good weekend:)

Will you girlies be trying Chachatint:)??

Korres New Raspberry Liquid Lipsticks

Korres has recently launched their latest lip product "Raspberry Liquid Lipsticks". I'm such a big fan of lip products it's unreal. These lipsticks are said to give you the best of both worlds, as they have the long lasting staying power you'd associate with lipsticks. You also get the nice glossy shine that lipgloss wearers adore.

At first glance, anybody would mistake this product as just another lipgloss but they'd be so wrong to think this. They are creamy lipsticks and have none of the icky stickiness that some people associate with lipglosses. When I was trying out these lipsticks, I was so intrigued. I've never tried any lip product like this before so I was pretty excited to give them a whirl.

There are 6 different Raspberry Lipstick shades and I was kindly sent 3 of them to try out.

 56 Red

I'm not a big fan of red lipstick as I squirm at the thought that I may not necessarily pull it off. This is such a gorgeous vibrant shade which I think if you like your red lippie you will love. I've used this lipstick quite a bit and I think my fear of red lipsticks is gone for the moment as I felt this lipstick actually suited me for once. I think it would be perfect for nights out as the staying power is amazing and I don't think you'd really need to top it much.

30 Nude Beige

I am a big fan of nude lipsticks so when I seen this I could not wait to try it out. I found this be a dark nude shade on my lips maybe a little to dark. I would wear this lipstick in the Winter as I don't think it would look too good in the summer.

13 Pink
This has to be my fave lipstick of the bunch. I have been wearing this everywhere from work to going out shopping. This is such a nice shade of pink, I am in love with it. This lipstick would take you through the summer as it's such a versatile shade which I feel is so important. Even for holidays it would be good in a travel bag and I feel it would suit anybody. This will definitely be in my travel bag for sure.

These lipsticks were also made using innovative technology which helps your lips remain hydrated which is so important with the Summer months already upon us. They also contain Raspberry oil which helps protect from harmful UVA and UVB rays which is another reason why they would be a good addition for your upcoming holiday. Korres Raspberry Lipstick are available in most House Of Frasers and Harvey Nichols, where you can have a look at all the other shades on offer. I really enjoyed trying out these lipsticks as they are something totally different to what I'd use. They are so easy to apply on the go and I find I don't use too much product so hopefully they last a while.

What lip shade do you prefer?

I was sent this product by the Korres PR Team to try out but all thoughts and views on the product are my own<3

Beauty Swap With Laura aka FitznBitz!

I love Beauty Swaps it's a good way to try out products that you've never seen or wouldn't necessarily try as it may not be your go-to product. I would so recommend doing one if you haven't already. Even though this is my second swap I still get excited cause it's such a surprise seeing what people have picked out for you.

I recently did a swap with my fellow Irish beauty blogger, Laura (Fitz N Bitz). She is such a big fan of Inglot Cosmetics like myself. If you haven't seen her blog already you should definitely have a look ( I will also leave her YouTube channel below).

Here are the lovely goodies Laura sent me.
Everything was wrapped so nicely. I really didnt want to open it:)

17 Eyeshadow in Rose Quartz

I've been using this eyeshadow quite alot lately as a all over eye colour. Sadly it broke in the post but it hasn't stop me from using it one bit.
Now we have two Collection 2000 products

Collection 2000 Blush in Bashful

Unfortunately, I've just been so busy as of late I haven't got to use this blusher that much. The shade name Bashful, reminds me so much of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs which I suppose it's meant to:)

Collection 2000 Lock N Hold Lipgloss in Rock Steady 3

For me, this product is a totally different shade in the bottle than it is on my lips. In the bottle, it looks like a light peach gloss. On the lips, I'm left with a gorgeous light pink gloss which I love.

Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Rose Petal

This is such a lovely light pink lipstick and will be perfect for the summer.

MAC Glaze Lipstick in Hue

I've seen this on so many beauty blogs so I was so happy when I seen Laura had sent me it. A while ago, I was going to buy this lipstick but it was out of stock which shows how popular it is. I think this shade is so wearable and it's a lipstick that I think would fit nicely into anybody's collection.

Here is a quick swatch of the two lipsticks above

L2R-Natural Collection Moisture Shine Lipstick in Rose Petal + MAC Glaze Lipstick in Hue

Last but not least Laura sent me this lovely card:):)

Thanks so much Laura for taking part in this with me. I really love everything you got me. I hope you enjoy your products too.

If you girls have done a beauty swap definitely leave the links below as I'd love to check them out:)

Little Bits from Bliss

Bliss isn't a brand I use very much as I find it a bit out of my price range. I've never owned any of their products even though I love their body butters. I always have a sniff at Bliss counters as their products smell so refreshing. I don't know anyone who doesn't like them.

Last week, my mom and I were out shopping when we decided to pop into House Of Fraser for a quick browse around the Beauty Hall (My favourite place). After having a mooch at a few of my favourite counter, I spotted a Sale table which I've been told is quite rare in the Beauty Hall. On it, I seen a tonne of Bliss products on sale, before my mom could look twice I was already over at the table checking out what was on offer. I was really surprised with what I saw as everything was half price or more and that's unusual for Bliss as it's such a good brand. I was later told that House Of Fraser was getting rid of the concession so everything had to go.

These are the products I came home with and I've been using them all since the day I've bought them.

Bliss Super-sized Lemon & Sage Body Butter (414ml) Was-€36 Now-€18

Still a bit pricey but I'd never get a better deal than this ever. Being Bliss's Number One Body Cream I had such high expectations for this product. I've been using it everyday since I purchased it and now I can safely say I love it. Firstly this body butter is huge (414ml) which I'm sure will last me for a long time. With a fresh citrusy scent that is amazing, this product is so moisturising and doesn't leave you feeling greasy one bit. I've been using this especially were I have dry patches and my skin is left feeling lovely and soft:)

Bliss Hand Cream Set (30ml) Was-10 Now-€5

I was blown away with this set when I saw it as it's amazing value for what your getting. First up is the Blood Orange & White Pepper hand cream, I've always loved the body butter of the same fragrance. It's such a unusual scent as it does smell like oranges but the white pepper adds a extra kick to it. I would of never thought that this combination would work but it does. I have started carrying this around with me as of late. I'm not sure if it will take the place of my beloved Soap and Glory Hand Food.

Bliss High Intensity Hand Cream has a light lemony fragrance which I think is similar to the Lemon & Sage body butter. I've probably used this a bit less than the other hand cream as I agree with the title it's a bit more intensive. Not only does it leave your skin soft and smooth, it also helps smooth rough cuticles. I have been using Lemon Flutter (which I love) for my cracked and dry cuticles, but this seems to be doing the job aswell. The only difference being is that this doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy.

Both of these hand creams did exactly what they said on the tin and left my hands feeling soft and smooth. During the day, I use Blood Orange & White Pepper as it's more of a everyday hand cream. When I get home from work I have been using the High Intensity Hand Cream which I definitely need on my hands after a hard days work as my hands are usually left in bad condition. They are both small in size (30ml) but I think they are so handy as you can get a feel for the product.

I've really enjoyed using these products so far. I'm so glad I picked them up in the sale which is an added bonus. I'd definitely love to use them again but the only thing stopping me is the price. I think if you were planning on pampering yourself and liked a good treat these products would definitely be worth having a look at.

Have you used any Bliss Products??...What's your favourite??

Liz Earle Event Saturday 18th June 2011

Hey Girls!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.I promised in my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser  that I would take a few pictures and let you girls know how I got on at this event.

The event was held in Wilde & Green in Milltown, Dublin. The store is fairly big, Liz Earle have a nice little corner just as you walk into the shop. I was so excited when I seen all the products so I had a little ramble through them all and of course took aload of pictures.

I was booked in for a skincare consultation, I had choice between this or a hand & arm massage but I decided to go for the consultation. I was glad I chose this as I got a better feel for the products as they were tried out on my face. The ladies from Liz Earle were so lovely and answered all my questions about the products. While I was getting my skincare consultation we also chatted about my blog which was so nice. I was told how this event was such a success they will be running another in the next couple of weeks. If you missed out on going along this time, I highly recommend going to the next one. I will definitely be popping back in for some more products (there is a suncare offer on which I will definitely taking advantage of for my holidays) and a chat very soon.

As I was booked in for a event I went home with this lovely goody bag.

All the products were  beautifully wrapped and contained the products below:)

L2R- Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, Instant Boost Tonic Spritzer, Botanical Essence Eau De Parfum Sample

I can't wait to try all these mini sizes out. I'm already such a big fan of the Hot Cloth Cleanser so I have such high expectations for the other products.
I also recieved a summer newsletter, product guide and a list of the products that were used on my skin during the consultation.

Me being me I couldn't leave without picking out a few other bits for myself.

Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask
This mask comes in the zip-up bag seen above and also includes 2 Cleansing Mask Sponges. I bought this mask as I've only ever used the ones from Lush which I really like. When this mask was used on my face I fell in love with it. I'm going to try it out some more and hopefully it shall become apart of my regular skincare routine

Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser
As I have pretty oily skin I opted to purchase this product too. I felt that it was so light and gentle when used on my face. I'm getting a few minor breakouts on my skin at the moment so I feel like my current moisturiser is a bit too rich.

I really enjoyed this event as everyone was so nice and friendly. I'm looking forward to trying out all these lovely products. I shall definitely let you girlies know how I get on.

If you would like to hear more about Liz Earle or if you are interested in their products, I shall leave the link below.
