YES Party! (Vótáil Tá)

With recent events, I have definitely found myself getting back to my old self since my last update. Positivity and mindfulness has without a doubt helped me along the way and what better way to get the ball rolling then to jump back into my blog. I know, I know, its been far too long but I'm back, apologies to all my readers!! As it's my first post back I'm going to keep this one short and sweet.
On Thursday I headed along to a Vote Yes party for the upcoming referendum on the 22nd of this month. The event was held in Thinkhouse's offices in Fumbally Square. I couldn't think of a better location to have it. The weather was perfect on the day, the sun was splitting the stones and everyone was dressed to impress in their vote Yes get up. This referendum is the topic of much discussion nationwide as the outcome of the vote will effect many people.

When we got there my friend Seán and I were handed a glass of champagne along with a very warm welcome from Fiona from Thinkhouse. It was Sean's first event and it was nothing like he had ever experienced before and finds himself enthusiastic about coming along to more events in the future.  He's really interested in starting a blog himself so keep an eye out folks! The music was pumping the setup of the place was glamorous as ever and I was astounded by the amount that showed up! I haven't been to an event in some time it was nice to see some familiar faces and have a catch up with a few of my fellow bloggers!

The fundraiser was in full swing by 6 o'clock and carried on until late. There were pizza vans in the courtyard and camera men picking up the many magical moments experienced on the night. The positive vibes and hopefulness that marriage equality would be made legal in Ireland was contagious and emotionally captivating.

I honestly hope that it gets passed, everyone deserves to be treated equally and marry the person they love. To anyone that hasn't registered to vote as of yet, go out and do it the deadline is May 7th because one vote can make all the difference so encourage all voters to go and exercise their constitutional right to vote!!

Until next time,

Laura<3
